Other worlds

  There is a dimension much like ours, but we cannot reach it. A world that projects our fictional worlds to us. It gives the ideas to the creators who then put it on paper, make it into a movie, draw it out as a comic, or develop it into a game. This world is connected to the many worlds we delve into with our senses, they have been studying to connect to the worlds for years and even to the worlds they have created themselves. While they are humans much like us they know how to use many of the skills and magic as many of the worlds we know.
  One girl made it possible with her own world, she loved games and made various stories involving the worlds she grew up with and loved. She worked by herself in order to make her dream a reality but all the work was for nothing, like the many other workers she knew. So she spent most of her days drawing and writing, only showing her close friends her ideas, though many were not like the games themselves, her friends enjoyed her work as they too had dreams of going into their dream worlds themselves.
 After every story was told, the girl would lie awake in her room, wondering if the world could take her away from her regular life and take her into an adventure. To teach her various skills the adults wouldn't let her learn and to put her in exciting dangers she could only dream of.
  She knew if she stepped foot into her fantasy she needed to wipe her mind clear. If she knew plenty about the characters it would be as if she made the world where she's the ruler, she didn't want that. She wanted challenges to where she worked to become a hero and to be respected like many of the protagonists in fiction.
  She sighed thinking about her world but also about how she would put it into a story instead, she knew it would be a self-insert of sorts but she wanted it to happen more than anything.

  After reading her last story to her friends, which did not end on a sweet note, she went to her room, making the same wish she had wished many other times. This time when she awoke she was not in her room, she was finally a hero in training.

  She found out that she was chosen to reunite all dimensions and defeat the evil which worked tirelessly to keep separating them when it failed to rule them. She met many of her heroes and found that she dragged her friends (and brother) into the world as well.
  Eventually her and her friends were split into five groups to expand across the dimensions and to defeat the other evil that lurked under their master. She felt like a hero in a storybook and did her best to know her place when it mattered.
  She was able to keep in touch with her home dimension to give her second brother notes for studying, she later found out that other created worlds were happening right where she was standing with people around the world. Through many tasks her and her team worked hard to reach their goal to stop the evil from separating the dimensions ever again.

  And she did it by leaving parts of her knowledge of the worlds in her home world.
